Understand AI agents, the actions they can take and how they differ from chatbots. A practical guide for businesses planning Telegram campaigns.

An AI agent can sound like a job title until you ask what the software actually does. Does it draft a reply, choose a next step, use a connected tool or simply follow a fixed sequence? Those details matter when you are choosing software for a business.

For a Telegram campaign, start with the conversation you want to support. Then work backwards to the facts, instructions and controls the system would need. You can evaluate that process without having to become an AI developer.

What makes a system an agent

The term is used broadly. In a technical distinction, a workflow follows predefined steps, while an agent can use a model to decide how to proceed with the tools available to it. Anthropic's guide to effective agents explains that distinction.

A product name will not tell you how much freedom the system has. Ask which actions are connected and which need a person. A model that can describe a refund process does not necessarily have access to issue a refund. The same applies to posting messages, changing records or looking up current stock.

How agents differ from chatbots

Chatbots and agents can overlap. The useful comparison concerns how each part of the experience works.

ApproachHow to evaluate it
A fixed menu or scripted botCheck its branches and what happens outside them
An AI assistant that drafts answersCheck the supplied facts and the text it produces
An agent with connected actionsCheck decisions, permissions and the resulting action history

Sometimes a fixed process is enough. If a visitor only needs to choose a service and submit a request, adding more independent decisions may make the process harder to review.

What context the system needs

Prepare an accurate description of your offer, the intended audience and the limits of the task. Include facts the system must ask for rather than guess. Give it a way to handle a question that your business cannot answer yet.

Consider an illustrative example: a company sells custom furniture. An agent could help clarify the kind of item someone needs. It should not invent a delivery date for a design the team has never reviewed. The useful boundary lies between collecting context and making a commitment.

How to judge a demonstration

Watch one task all the way through. Ask to see the original instructions, the reply and the record of what happened. Then change a condition. Remove a fact or give the system a request outside its scope. Its response to uncertainty tells you something a polished happy-path demo cannot.

For Telegram work, also review the surrounding conversation. A sentence can be accurate in isolation and still make little sense as a reply to the previous message.

Where KUZKO fits

KUZKO / Black Bull provides a workspace for Telegram AI agents and advertising scenarios. You can prepare business context, work on campaign scenarios and review conversation history. Check the particular workflow you need rather than treating it as a general-purpose agent platform.
