A business owner opens an advertising dashboard and finds another AI assistant. It can help draft a campaign, produce creative and explain reports. The useful question is what the team should now spend its time on. Our view is that more work moves toward defining the task and judging the result. An easy way to generate an advertisement does not make the underlying offer persuasive.
What the platforms have actually announced
Google's February 2026 letter on advertising and commerce describes conversational commercial experiences, tests of advertising in AI Mode and agentic commerce. These are developments on a particular platform, with their own rollout conditions.
In July, Yandex announced an AI assistant for preparing Direct campaigns, including ad creative and landing pages. Across these examples, the interface becomes easier to use. Advertisers still need to verify the facts and terms of their offer.
Choose a problem before choosing another tool
Start where useful demand is getting lost. If a team takes a day to answer inquiries, a new image generator will not resolve that delay. If advertising promises a service the company does not provide, faster optimization can bring more of the wrong inquiries.
Follow one request from the customer's first impression to the next agreed action. How did the person understand the offer? What did they see after clicking? Who answered, and what happened next? This review helps you identify a task worth automating.
A short working brief can cover the customer's situation, the offer, supporting facts, limitations and the next step. Both an employee and an AI tool need that information. Contradictory prices or unclear service boundaries should be resolved before the team generates more variations.
Give someone responsibility for review
Check prices, geography, actual delivery times and expected outcomes before launch. Decide which questions an agent may answer and which require a person. A complex project quote, for example, usually needs information about the project. A confident estimate without that context can create the wrong expectation.
The reviewer needs a few representative situations: an ordinary request, an unsuitable inquiry and a question beyond the scenario. They should know what a satisfactory response looks like and when to stop the workflow. Our guide to Telegram marketing automation applies this approach to campaign preparation.
Separate production speed from business results
Faster drafting can save time. It does not establish that the campaign produced more customers. Keep the time spent on setup, review and corrections in your assessment. Compare inquiries using the same qualification criteria and allow the sales team the same time to process them.
A small decision log is often enough to begin. Record the problem, the change, the expected result and the review date. If lead quality deteriorates, the team should have a clear way to pause the experiment. The article on attribution and incrementality explains why assigning a conversion to a source and proving additional impact answer different questions.
Our editorial view
For a small team, one workflow with a clear review process is often a better starting point than several simultaneous tool deployments. Pick a bottleneck, define the result and assign an owner. Then decide which parts AI can help with. Industry news becomes useful when it changes a decision you can explain and evaluate.
